Unless you are a leftist, you cannot name one single way in which sitting out these midterms will punish Republicans or make your life better, but I can give you 100 different ways in which sitting out these midterms will make your life worse. But the same serious-looking authority figures on your TV, in your newspapers, on the radio, and on the websites are STILL CONFIDENTLY ASSERTING TO YOU that their polls are accurate as can be and are merely EDUCATING the public as to the current milieu.
