(@AndrewTWalker) The Virginia redistricting gambit is this: The Democrats' talk of “democratic norms” and “protecting democracy” is a smokescreen for the raw exercise and accumulation of political power. It always has been. The Democrats do all the same things they accuse the GOP of, but with cloak-and- dagger methods. It's all done with an air of Brooks Brothers respectability and the pretense of civic righteousness, and that's the point. In the name of protecting democracy, they've robbed citizens of legitimate representation. It's sad to see Virginia regress into the antics of my native state of Illinois. Decline will follow. But that's their choice, and they can now languish under the consequences of their chosen policies: increased taxes and social progressivism. Tweet.
