Teachers who cannot define critical thinking assign essays on “misinformation.” NGO activists who have never built a company, shipped a product, met a payroll, or created anything more complicated than a hashtag explain why the people who actually build civilization are the problem. Quite a system. The modern world runs on supply chains, capital markets, software, energy grids, logistics, engineering, risk, incentives, and millions of voluntary decisions coordinating without some blue-check hall monitor issuing commands. The explainer class looks at all that and produces its grand analysis: Rich guy bad. Government good. More regulation. Problem solved. Then, when reality refuses to cooperate with the coloring-book version they taught the public, they do not reconsider. They demand more authority, more censorship, more funding, and fewer questions. Because clearly the issue is not that they are wrong. The issue is that you are still allowed to notice. These people were supposed to be the bridge between complexity and the public. Instead, they became a tollbooth staffed by idiots, charging everyone admission to a distorted version of reality. They cannot build the machine. They cannot explain the machine. They do not understand why the machine works. But hand them a microphone and suddenly they are morally qualified to dismantle it. The media did not merely become biased. It became incompetent enough to mistake its own confusion for expertise ... and arrogant enough to demand that the rest of us call it truth. Tweet.
