She said she had no idea that I had such a hard life although I’ve told her stories and she has read about it on here. It really hits home when you see it! A great many of us had a hard life back then but we also had good times. Perhaps food tasted better, we played harder than kids do today and that book that I read either on the porch swing or wrapped up in a blanket in front of the fire, was so much better when it was rare. We had few toys and we took care of what we had and we didn’t get a lot of fruit and it was so much sweeter back then! We had the entire mountain to play in. Lord i guess life was so much sweeter back then! Tweet.
